Terms of Service
The short version. Use Vili to keep track of the people in your life. Don't store data about people who wouldn't want you to have it, don't abuse invite links, and understand we're a small team doing our best — the service comes "as is".
1. Agreement
These Terms are a contract between you and Grupo Olfi ("Vili", "we", "us"). By creating an account, using the Vili app or submitting information through a Vili invite link, you agree to them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You're responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything that happens under it. Tell us at hello@vili-birthday.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Your content and other people's data
You own the information you put into Vili. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it to you (and, for the fields you choose to share, to members of your circles) so the service works.
Much of what Vili holds is information about other people. You agree to:
- only record information you have a legitimate, personal reason to keep;
- only share invite links with people you know, in groups where they'd reasonably expect it;
- remove someone's details if they ask you to;
- not use Vili to build lists of strangers, for marketing, harassment or any commercial purpose.
5. Invite links
Invite links are unguessable but not secret once shared. Anyone with a link can see the circle's name and your first name and can submit an entry. You can deactivate a link at any time from the app. We may deactivate links that are being abused.
6. Acceptable use
Don't: break the law, impersonate anyone, upload malware, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, attempt to access other users' data, or use automated tools to submit entries. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
7. Free and paid features
Vili's core features are free. Premium features require a subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. Pricing is shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period via your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Vili running but don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we'll give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
9. Disclaimer
Vili is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Vili is a memory aid — if a reminder fails and you miss a birthday, we're sorry, but we're not liable for it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vili's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or MXN $1,000 if you paid nothing. We're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León, unless consumer-protection law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we'll notify you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
